Week 37 continued

Hey guys!  I'm sending a quick and short blog post because my longer post on Tuesday did not come via email (Matt and I subscribe as well via email, just to make sure it gets out there) Matt also likes to see it because he usually does not get to read what I post until after it is posted. He just writes his part and then I publish it.  At times, you all know, he does not have the time to write an update then it is all a surprise :)

A couple of pictures I have taken in the past 4 days that I wanted to share :)

I also want to mention, after eating a lot of my neighbors juicy and tasty veggies...we will have a garden! They have shared zucchinis, cucumbers, and tomatoes. So...soo good! It helps with my post baby weight loss to eat fresh and yummy stuff!

I have 12 lbs to go until I am pre-baby..I may still keep trying to loose a few more lbs after, but I will not stress after that 12 lbs goes away...far far away! I also am teaching another Zumba class, which brings my total to 3 classes a week. I am running the couch to 5K 3 times a week as well.  I am really enjoying this app. It is a huge motivator, which I need, and it keeps me accountable. I am still running about a mile and walking about another mile since it is it alternates between running and walking withing a 30-40 minute span. I am enjoying running more and running further than I could before. I feel like running is a huge mental game and with my ADD brain...I usually do not run as long or as far as I am capable :)

Eating healthier is in the works for both Matt and I, but that is the hardest part of weight loss. WE love bad for you food......

Grayson being so happy at Costco...he was such a happy baby...looking around and smiling at everyone :)
yummy lunch of chicken, strawberries, and blueberries.... 1/4 of it ended up in his lap but practice makes perfect right?
 Cuddles with mommy

Trying to be a civilized baby and eating for a bowl instead of spread out on a tray.....it didn't work as well as I wanted, but he did not do too bad! :)

Doing his favorite activity which is pulling himself up on anything and everything!

Week 37

9 month update
Grayson had his nine month check up. This appointment did not have shots! Yayy!! He is one big boy! His head is in the 100th percentile, weight in 92nd percentile at 23 lbs, and height in 94th percentile at 30 inches.

Grayson loves to crawl around everywhere and pull himself up on anything and everything. He will pull himself up on our legs, T.V. stands, walls, couches, pack'n'plays, etc. He has mastered setting himself down as well.  He now has a walker and loves to walk with that too. I will try to load videos on here, but it hasn't been letting me lately...Grayson can also walk along the couch. Here are a couple of fun pictures of G.
Just playing with my ball...looking cute (note all the toys splayed on the floor to prevent going towards the TV)

Grayson lounging around after a great lunch...This boy can eat :) We are not transferring into eating mostly table foods rather than purees...more to come on that!
Grayson trying to stand without anything....silly boy

Shopping and loving some of the hats we found!
Mohawks courtesy of Uncle Damon!
Reading fun and pushing on mommy to stand!

Who can resist this sweet face even if it is covered in food?

trying to conserve energy and play at the same time

Grayson enjoying daddy's cup and playing with 2 pacis!

 This walking stuff is easy!
I am walking and moving faster and faster each day
What Grayson does when I try and change his diaper and/or put clothes on him
He is such a big 9 month old boy that he can eat his own pouches all by himself!

Hopefully this video loads...

Family time
My aunt and uncle from Albuquerque came for a short visit. It was so nice having them here. They decided to take a little tour and drove from NM to Oregon and then back down Cali back to NM. We had a lot of fun, but I am still limited in what we can do since G still needs 2 good naps or 3 shorter naps a day....nobody likes a fussy boy :)
Yummy salt and straw ice cream...they have some interesting flavors.  Matt and I stuck to chocolate and a blueberry rice krispie....I dont remember what Amy and Damon had, but it was different...lol

Grayson's first french fry....I licked all the salt off to try and make it a little better...sorry if that's TMI hahaha
Sweet little pic...no Grayson did not have a rootbeer float!
Grayson loving his new turtle from the Grand Auntie and Uncle...He LOVES it...it counts, says colors, and you can pull it with a string. It is too cute! He likes to chase after it when I pull it. One day he will be pulling it and I will be chasing him!

Amy and I sent the boys away

Matt update
Matt was on clinic when my aunt and uncle were in town. He luckily had the weekend off so he got to spend some time with them :) He is now on ICU. He is enjoying it a little bit more since he knows what he is doing. ICU was one of his dreaded rotations last year. As a second year, he has more confidence and also the one in charge. Still a little scary, but he is doing well. Tonight is a long night, unfortunately, but that is how it goes. He has nights coming up as part of ICU as well....ICK! I hate nights. Oh well the life of a 2nd year resident...this is already his 2nd ICU rotation this year and the year started in July....
