Week 27 &28

6 month update
Grayson is 19.5 lbs and 29 inches. He is in the 81st percentile for weight and 95th percentile for height. He was in the mid 80s percentile for head circumference. Still a long and lean-ish baby. :) He really is growing up so fast. He loves to eat food or his bottle and is very curious about the world. He is just a happy boy and brings smiles to our faces everyday.

Yummy
Here are some fun pictures of G eating. People ask how he gets so messy and why don't we just use a bib. As you can see...a bib would not really help. Naked is best for now. He tries to grab the spoon or has his hands in his mouth with food in it and then starts to rub his face and body....not fun.....

Fun in the Sun
Here are some pictures from our adventures in the sun. We have been loving our sunny strolls and have reconnected with friends. This little boy lives across the street and is 2 years old and 4 months. He is going to be such a good buddy for G. He is very smart and speaks very well. I also met another girl walking to the library (it is less than 3/4 miles away) and she also has a 6 month old boy named Benjamin. I did not take a picture with her but it was nice meeting another person in the area. I still try to walk with my friend Gini, but she is due very soon and has been very busy with her little 19 month old and getting ready for the new boy! The little boy pictured besides G is the boy from across the street. G always sleeps on our walks...hehe it is too cute.

Haircut
Some of you may think it is a little early to cut G's hair....but......he needed it...desperately. Most of his wispy dark newborn hair has fallen out, but two rat tails behind his ears lingered. We decided to cut it. My friend, Kate did it. I was too nervous. He cut the little rat tails a little from a part that was sticking straight up in the back of his head and a long strand at his forehead. He looks like a new boy now! So handsome and even lol!

Bath Fun
Grayson has discovered his feet and loves to chomp on them, suck on them, play with them, etc. Bath time is no exception!

Something smells Fishy
Our neighbor, Leiloni caught the biggest fish on our neighbor's fishing trip. It was twice the size of Grayson! It was funny that G happened to be up still when they got home! We just had to do a side by side. I also included the fish Doug caught but did not keep! What a woman Leiloni is! Hehe!

Selfies
Selfies are pictures that people take care of themselves. Here are a few of G. He just loves to take them!

Grayson dressed like his daddy. Our friends from Texas the Langsjoens, both doctors now in Temple doing their residency, sent G this cute scrub outfit! It finally fits so we had a mini photoshoot! <3

Matt update
Matt says, "Va Wards...same story...different day". He will be doing this for another 2 weeks. He then has clinic and has a little retreat at the beach for a day. He will be done with intern year June 25th. Wow! Can you believe it? One year down...2 to go until he is a board certified physician....then maybe a chief year...then 3 more years for hematology/oncology. WE look at things in chunks so...yay..2 more years! lol

Week 25 & 26- Daddy's Vacation & G is 6 months

Grayson is 6 months!! I cannot believe it is his half birthday already! He is sitting, laughing, babbling, reaching for everything. He loves to touch faces and anything colorful. He loves to stare at people while they eat. He loves to eat. Our friend Janie had us over for lunch and took these wonderful pictures!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have had so much fun with daddy being off for a week!
We have done the following with this week off:

* Gotten the yard looking nice!- You guys saw that last post

                                      quick reminder picture
* Painted adorable plates!
The reason why you strip toddlers down when they paint lol!
These are the plates we made. It was so much fun! The butterflies are also G's footprints!

* Eaten lunch downtown

Yummy early mother's day lunch. WE had steak and lobster with wine and dessert! It was so good! Grayson wanted to eat some of the sourdough bread...he really wanted to eat it.

* Played outside at the park

*Visited a park down in the pearl that has water!
So fun! It has water coming out of the stairs and the water pools. It will pour out and then stop. It was so cute watching the older kids really enjoy it. It was a pit cold for my pre-madonna son, but I am sure he will love it when he can walk! Next summer will be a blast!

* Baby Food making
avocados, carrots, and pears....I also did zuccinni which is not pictured
* Garage cleaning and organizing

This is midway through organizing

* Grayson has tried pears, zucchini, sweet potato, mangos, and green beans these past 2 weeks! I had forgotten we had done zucchini already. Whoops!

Sweet Potato
mangos- the pouches are great because it is usually a little cleaner. I am using a spoon to scoop up things that kind of spills out since I am having to push the pouch in, but one day G will do it on his own and it will be awesome!

                        Green beans and eating a yummy pear.
We also went on family
walks and the Farmer's Market in Happy Valley.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Grayson is always so interested when we eat. He will stop playing or doing whatever he is doing and just stare. He will look at your food, then your mouth, lick his lips, and repeat. He is hilarious!
 Hey dad...I would like some pizza please....                                     Hey dad...I asked nicely...gimme me
ok I am going to steal it!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Great Deal on Pouches
Pouches are easy on the go pouches to feed baby. They can be a life saver if you do not have the opportunity to feed a hungry baby. I bought some of things like peas and sweet potatos so I do not have to peel, steam, and pod out the peas... I also bought yummy combos to keep in my bag. They are good for 9 months. G is excited! He is also sitting more upright alone! Yayy!~

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Random Pics

This is the funniest thing we have ever seen. People are drinking on a mobile bar and biking through downtown Portland. They end up at a bar as well. Looks hilarious! Too bad I do not like beer. But for all you adventorous beer drinkers! Have fun!

Pinterest is a great resource for crafty people to share ideas. They also have pictures like this ....where you want to copy it...and you utterly fail. Taylor showed me some too...Way too funny!

Mother's Day
Matt made me yummy breakfast on our new plates with my beautiful flowers from the farmer's market. He made my first mother's day so special. I also got a book with pictures of G in it and a sweet card. We also had that yummy lunch downtown. The best gift was a week off with him :)
